After being introduced to B7 in the 80's, I fell in love with the show immediately. The show had finished its first run a few years earlier and I was lucky enough to find a Public Broadcasting station that showed the reruns every night. I collected as many as I could on video and truly loved the show. Truth be told, I was not a huge Blake fan. My hero was, of course, Avon. What fascinated me was what a great leader one can be when the position is thrust upon you. Avon was so pessimistic and yet, continued to fight the good fight. I loved everything about the show, the cheap SFX, the sometimes bad writing and, of course, the always over-the-top acting. All of these peices went to make thewhole so much better. I look forward to discussing this show with all of you. Once again, Welcome...

Even though Blakes 7 has never been 'officially' released in the U.S., I recently got hold of the full series and rewatched it. I must say, that even after 20 years, I still love this show. The cheap BBC special effects, the over the top British actors, everything. I love the crew of the Liberator. I must say, howeverever, I liked it better after the second season, when they wrote off the title character. When Blake left and Avon took over, I think the show really took off. I would love to hear what others think. Let me know.
